Understanding the JointBrex Formula
Why the formula uses two turmeric forms plus an absorption agent, and what the amounts actually mean.
Understanding the JointBrex Formula — a JointBrex guide
The JointBrex Design Choice
One capsule delivers 125 mg across four components. Turmeric accounts for 105 mg of that, split deliberately across two different extract forms.
Why Two Turmeric Forms
The 4:1 root extract at 75 mg is a modest-ratio extract that retains a broader profile of the plant’s compounds. The 95% curcuminoid extract at 30 mg is highly concentrated in the specific compounds research focuses on.
One gives breadth, the other gives a known quantity of actives. Using both is a more considered approach than simply increasing one, and standardisation on the second is genuinely useful information for a buyer.
The Absorption Problem, and the Answer
Curcumin has a well-documented weakness: on its own, very little of it is absorbed. Poorly soluble, rapidly metabolised, quickly cleared.
BioPerine at 5 mg is included specifically to address that. Piperine has been studied for its effect on curcumin bioavailability, which makes this one of the more defensible inclusions on the panel rather than an ingredient added to lengthen the label.
An honest note on the amounts
Published curcumin research commonly uses amounts in the hundreds of milligrams per day. JointBrex provides 105 mg of turmeric extract across both forms.
That is smaller than most study doses. Improving absorption of a modest amount is a sensible answer to the problem, but it does not turn a modest dose into a large one, and you deserve that comparison before ordering.
The Fourth Component
Coleus Forskohlii at 15 mg is included as a supporting component. Most published research on it relates to areas other than joints specifically, so its role is better described as general formula support.
What JointBrex Does Well on Labelling
Every component has its own printed milligram figure. No proprietary blend grouping several ingredients under an invented name with one combined weight — which is common in this category and makes independent research impossible.
One honesty note in the other direction: marketing for this product describes a six-ingredient formula including glucosamine and boswellia, and neither appears on the supplied panel. Our ingredients page covers that in full.
