About Turmeric Extract, 95% Curcuminoids in JointBrex
What Standardisation Means Here
This component is a turmeric root extract standardised to 95% curcuminoids, present at 30 mg.
Standardisation is one of the more useful things a supplement label can tell you. It means the manufacturer has specified how much of a named compound the extract contains, turning a weight into a known quantity rather than an unknown one.
At 95%, roughly 28.5 mg of that 30 mg is curcuminoids — the group of compounds, principally curcumin, that turmeric research focuses on.
Why JointBrex Uses Two Turmeric Forms
The 4:1 extract provides a broader profile of the plant. This concentrated extract provides a known amount of the specific active compounds. Together they cover different ground, which is a more thoughtful approach than simply using more of one.
An honest dose comparison
Published curcumin research commonly uses amounts in the hundreds of milligrams per day. JointBrex provides 105 mg of turmeric extract in total across both forms.
That is a smaller amount than most studies use. The BioPerine is included to improve how much is absorbed, which is a sensible formulation answer — but better absorption of a modest dose is still a modest dose, and you deserve that comparison before ordering.
What Research Covers
Curcumin is one of the most consistently researched natural compounds in relation to inflammatory response. The PubMed index is a reasonable place to start, and NCCIH maintains an accessible overview of turmeric.
As always: that is research on curcumin as a compound, not on this finished product.
Practical Notes
- Take with food for digestive comfort.
- Speak to your doctor first if you take blood thinners.
- Concentrated curcumin extracts have occasionally been associated with liver-related reports at high doses; stick to the label serving and stop if you notice anything unusual.
- Raise it with your doctor if you have gallbladder problems.
How It Fits the JointBrex Formula
This is the component doing most of the work behind the label’s claim that the product helps maintain a healthy inflammatory response. See how JointBrex works.
